Welcome Ms. K - 15 days New

Here is our story....

I have known this family all my life...I grew up just down the street and as a child I spent many a days with them...playing Barbie's, dolls, going to the park, playing outside, eating over, sleeping over...being kids....

We giggled the other day because as kids we always asked each set of parents what was for dinner in a sly way to see which was the better menu for the night...lol...we always got the famous answer of "Stewed bugs and onions" OR "Poop on a stick"...both of us tell our own children that....

She comes from a family of 7 and I a family of 6 so the chaos of what comes with a big family, we embrace....

We may not see each other often but there is comfort in a childhood friend...there is a family connection that will never be lost...

This session reminded me of OHANA, which means family. Family means no one gets left behind or forgotten. 

This family has opened up their hearts and home to Ms. K and as you are reading this, know that she is greatly loved.

They wanted to do something special to mark Ms. K's arrival into their home, here are some pictures of our session together.

She was an excellent subject, barely fussing and I can't wait to watch this little one grow.  I truly hope that she is yours forever because you couldn't ask for a better family to love her.

Thanksgiving 2013

Thanksgiving.....2013 and I have much to be thankful for......

This picture is very special to me and has been over the years....there are 4 generations of girls.....

I love my family were loud, corky, full of life and love each other with no judgment...

Jamaica 2013

Ya MAN, No Problem is the famous saying while in Jamaica.....

To the beautiful beaches, the hot sun, and the fantastic rum "Appletons" that was overflowing...Jamaica was the place to be.....

Again it has been a while since I have had the opportunity to sit down and blog...believe me it has been at the back of my mind.....

I recently had to undergo surgery and have spent the last couple of weeks in recovery with many a restrictions...which is never fun...but I am happy to annoce that I am fully on my way to recovery!!

Before my sugery I had the opportunity again to meet up with some fantastic individuals and children...here are some sneek peeks.....

While in recovery I received the much anticiapted Christa Meola book all about Boudoir photography and have been studying away and can't wait to use this new found knowledge....please stay tuned to my marathon that I will be planning for March/April of this year...I will be a fun filled day of hair, make-up, wine and of course great photography and a few laughs........

J - 8 Days

I would like to introduce to you the newest addition to our neighborhood...Mister J, came into this world on October 14, 2012 early in the am, weighing in at 7 lbs....

I had the pleasure of photographing him this week.......and it is uncanning how much he looks like his older brother...

I am excited to have another little boy to cuddle and spoil...Congratulations to all of you and welcome Mr. J.....

 I am the BIG BROTHER

October ...............

October has been a busy month with the start of the soccer season......and routine has begun, well we are now used to it...lol

I have had many a sessions this month that have made me smile.....we received our first snow fall

Here are some sneak peeks to what I have been up to this Month....

The Toms family.....we spent some time wandering through the park in St. Albert making funny faces, trying to get over wet obstacles and beat the rain...thank-you Toms family.

 

 

In then met with the Lehr family that I have known for a few years and we spent some time wandering around Wood Bridge before the cold got to us and decided to move indoors.....thank-you Lehr family.....

 

 

 

 

 

 

This is the Knapp, Bolinski, Marten Family...where we tried to get some outdoor stuff but again the cold got the best of us and we decided to head inside to Commerce Place...

 

 

 Thank-you to all the family that I have had the opportunity to capture over the past couple of weeks, try and stay warm..

Week 43

Bbq season is upon us, same with sprinkler time and catching a few rays of sunshine.....
