Welcome Ms. K - 15 days New

Here is our story....

I have known this family all my life...I grew up just down the street and as a child I spent many a days with them...playing Barbie's, dolls, going to the park, playing outside, eating over, sleeping over...being kids....

We giggled the other day because as kids we always asked each set of parents what was for dinner in a sly way to see which was the better menu for the night...lol...we always got the famous answer of "Stewed bugs and onions" OR "Poop on a stick"...both of us tell our own children that....

She comes from a family of 7 and I a family of 6 so the chaos of what comes with a big family, we embrace....

We may not see each other often but there is comfort in a childhood friend...there is a family connection that will never be lost...

This session reminded me of OHANA, which means family. Family means no one gets left behind or forgotten. 

This family has opened up their hearts and home to Ms. K and as you are reading this, know that she is greatly loved.

They wanted to do something special to mark Ms. K's arrival into their home, here are some pictures of our session together.

She was an excellent subject, barely fussing and I can't wait to watch this little one grow.  I truly hope that she is yours forever because you couldn't ask for a better family to love her.

It was so nice to catch up and thank you for trusting me to create this beautiful memory for you.

2015 Give Back Project

MY NAME IS SIOBHAN......PLEASE HELP ME SPREAD THE WORD

This is my moment to give back to you and to tell your stories ………

Not all pregnancies are planned, in fact, most of them are not.  Being pregnant can be scary, and even more so for a teenager. 

Being a teenager and finding out that you’re pregnant is a shock, not something you ever believed could happen to you, it happens to others, right?!?

I know firsthand what being a teenage mother is like…….I was one and wouldn’t change anything for the world…… and when I look back at the scary thoughts I had of becoming a mother at such a young age, I realized, I never took the opportunity to capture, cherish and embrace all the beauty, magical moments and memories that come with being pregnant and motherhood.

We are women, we can grow another human being inside of us…a tiny life…a moment that should be captured despite our age.

I am a photographer and my colleague is a make-up artist, and we have teamed up together to give something back, back to a moment in time that should be treasured nonetheless.

Our goal, is to provide professional photography and make-up for teen mothers who want nothing more, than to preserve a memory for a life time.

We will be offering a free session a month throughout the year to give back…..if you know of someone who is a teen mom expecting and would like to pass on my information, please have them contact me at memoriescaptured@telus.net. With Teen Mom written in the subject line and your age.

Not to discriminate against anyone but my cut-off age will be 21.  Thank you for your time is reading this venture that I have set out to do….

Fall Sessions have begun

I got to spend the afternoon with the Bienert Family and it was smiles all around.......there daughter is the apple of there eye and is as happy as can be, this family was a joy to work with....thank you!!

November to December...where does time go?

It has been a while since I blogged but with Christmas approaching...... times have been busy.....

I love Christmas and can't wait to spend time with Family and Friends....

Over the past couple of weeks...I have had the pleasure of seeing many a Friends and Families...taken some great stuff and ventured into the great outdoors....I have a love for snow pictures.....not a love for the cold weather that comes along with the it but hey you win some and lose some....lol....here is what I have been up to......

Ms. E - 16 days

I would also like to introduce Ms. E...who is also a new addition to the neighborhood.....she joined us October 24, 2012 @ 2:13 am weighing in at 8lbs 15 oz.....Congrats to the Kondro family on there newest addition and I can't wait to watch her grow...to many years to come...

Week 44 -45-46

So it has been a busy couple of weeks...the kids are now finished school and Summer Break has begun...we are looking forward to spending time with family and friends and enjoying some relaxing times, creating many memories...

Till then I have been super busy with sessions....

Again I had the pleasure of sharing in a special moment in the Humens life....Baby Zoe made her arrival on June 7, 2012 weighing in at 8lbs 5oz...it was great to see how relaxed the two of them are with there new roles as Mom and Dad...Zoe was a angel making for a fantastic session....

I want to wish the Humens a great big Congrats on there new arrival as she is precious........xoxoxox

I had the pleasure of meeting up with Jen and her boys for a mini session and having two boys under 5 makes for an adventure....we had fun looking for things, playing hide and seek and catching mom....I enjoyed my session with them and it was great to catch up with her......

I then had the pleasure of meeting up with V and P who are getting married this October...I couldn't be happier for them......it was a warm one and we spend time adventuring through the streets of downtown and our last stop was at the Hotel MacDonald which holds a special place in there hearts as that is where they were engaged....
